| TREE of the MONTH Sequoia Tree The Sequoia, or better known as The Sequoia, or better known as the Calfornia Redwoods are some of the biggest, tallest trees! They can reach an impressive 400ft! Known as the largest living things on Earth, they date between 2,000 to 2,300 years old! Part of their reason for lasting so long is due to their thick skin, better known as bark, which is roughly about 2-3 feet thick. Now we know why we should be more thick skinned! Did you know that the Sequoia is fire resistant, yet their seeds need fire to pry them open? Amazing. |

| KNOW THE SYMBOLS Flower of Life Considered by some to be a symbol of sacred geometry, said to contain ancient, religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. In this sense, it is a visual expression of the connections life weaves through all sentient beings, believed to contain a type of Akashic Record of basic information of all living things. There are many spiritual beliefs associated with the Flower of Life; for example, depictions of the five Platonic Solids are found within the symbol of Metatron's Cube, which may be derived from the Flower of Life pattern. These platonic solids are geometrical forms which are said to act as a template from which all life springs. The oldest example can be found at the Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt. It is carved in granite and may possibly represent the Eye of Ra. |
